Amidst a world of turmoil there are so many beauties to celebrate. A list of a few of today’s beauties:
-Cool summer evenings. I love that it is finally starting to cool off. Last night Brinton and I went up into our loft to watch the cool lightening storm that lit up the sky.
-The Sabbath day. Today was a wonderful day at church. Brinton has gotten a new calling, ward clerk. He is already a ward missionary with me as well as stake auditor. He is wondering when he will get released from the other callings. He is my super man, I am sure he can handle all the jobs! We had some great lessons on the Holy Ghost and personal revelation. I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ. It brings me so much peace and joy.
-My sweet little daughter, my handsome husband and my beautiful grandma.

-Beautiful Fruit! My backyard has two beautiful grapevine trellis’, one green, one purple. I love it! We also have two apple trees. We didn’t spray the apples soon enough so they are all buggy. Oh how I wish we could grow apples in this region with out chemicals! We will spray next year so we can have good fruit to can. I was able to spend a couple of hours in the yard yesterday trimming bushes, picking up apples and pulling weeds. We are so blessed to have a beautiful yard.

Amidst this world there are so many beautiful things to celebrate. I am so grateful to be at home with my sweet little girl. Tomorrow school starts and I am so happy to be able to stay home. I am starting a babysitting job for a coworker from my school. Her little guy is a month younger than Daisylyn. So even though I am not going back to school, a new adventure begins!!

Friday I went to my 94 year old grandmothers house to spend the afternoon and just chat. It was a wonderful visit. She is my daughter’s only living great grandparent. It was fun to watch her swoon over Daisylyn and give me tidbits of wisdom. When I got to her house she was outside chatting with the Chem Lawn guy who had come to spray her lawn. I am not sure how long they had both been outside, but I got a feeling it had been a longer conversation than the guy had intended. But he was friendly none the least. Before we went inside Grandma mentioned that she needed to get the mail. I almost offered to get it for her, but then I realized that this is probably the most she gets out of the house. Her little walk down the sidewalk to get the mail. She commented as we got inside at all the junk mail. “All I get is a bunch of junk mail and bills. A whole lot of junk and bills.” I know she would appreciate hearing from any of you via mail!!! She treasures her letters. We had a wonderful visit. It was hard to leave. Grandma asked me what I want of hers. I felt a little strange and didn’t know how to reply. She would like to make sure all of her treasures go to people in the family who want them. I am going to go over again in a week or two to help her with some organizing, I will be updating all of you when we get things organized and fill you in on the details. She loved the reunion and said it was just perfect!! Oh how I love my grandma, she has been my greatest support and example through my life. I wish I could just bottle her love and wisdom!
