Since the new thing on facebook is the post about 25 random things I thought I would post my list here too.
25 Random things about me.
It takes me 4 minutes to do my hair in the morning. The one blessing of having thin, fine hair.
I love to dig in the dirt and garden. I am really looking forward to working in our new yard and see what comes up this spring.
Since high school I always wanted to ride my bike down the Oregon Coast. I was able to live this dream summer of 2007 with three friends. We did a 125 mile portion of the coast. I would love to do it again, or to try a different stretch sometime.
Valentines is one of my favorite holidays. I love that you can write people random notes of kindness.
My husband Brinton likes and craves chocolate more than me. Chocolate makes me sick right now as a pregnant person. So I do without.
I love to bake, but I hardly ever do it. I tend to like to eat what ever I bake so the best solution is not to bake at all.
I have visited 8 countries, Canada, Mexico, Belize, Honduras, England, Switzerland, Italy and Germany.
I have a goal to publish a book.
I have had over 28 roommates.
Aside from roommates I have lived with 16 people who were outside my biological family members (step-family and families I have nannied for).
I walk to work.
There is a hawk that frequents my back yard. We have seen it three times this winter.
I love riding rollercoaster’s.
My equilibrium has changed as an adult. Any spinning rides make me sick. As a child I loved to spin and get dizzy. Now I can’t even watch things spin because it makes me sick.
I am not a pet person. See below.
Last year I had two pet hamsters in my classroom. Right before Thanksgiving break they started attacking and mauling each other so I took them home for hospice care. One died over Thanksgiving break. The other died over Christmas break. That happened to be the same day I went on my first date with my husband. I remember checking the cage right before Brinton came over. I was shocked to see that she was dead in her wheel. I hurried and took her out to the garage, to the garbage and put the cage in the garage so I didn’t have to have a date ask questions about my pets that were dead. Well… as I was preparing for our annual family yard sale this summer I found a bag full of stinky mush of flesh and bones at the side of the garage behind a box. I guess in the panic of making sure I got the hamster out of the house, I didn’t quite make it to the garbage with the dead hamster. Ewww.
I have a strange obsession with maps and reading maps.
I have another strange obsession with numbers and number patterns.
I used to really enjoy reading. College ruined it for me. I can’t really enjoy reading as a pregnant person, it makes me sick. I know, weird.
I love to research. I do most of my research on the internet now that it is so readily available.
I would love to become a professional photographer someday.
I am not really into politics and it was reflected in my grade in Political Science. In college I flunked it the first time I took it.
I have been keeping a journal since my childhood.
I have been teased by my family members since I got my license that I am a grandma driver.I don’t really wear jewelry
